Auto Sellers Permit and buying OEM parts?

I was wondering how it was possible to purchase OEM auto parts for cars at wholesale prices without being taxed. Do I need to make a relationship with the individual auto makers or can I simply buy as a wholesaler from major internet sites such as parts.com? Any information regarding this situation would be appreciated. Thank you
