Should I try to have another child?

We have real insurance, not gov aid. We work, have our own place (albeit small, its ours). I have an almost school age child from a prev. marriage and he wants a sibling very badly. We do not like the idea of them being really far apart in age (we're in our mid 20s). We just got married about 6 months ago. Yay or nay?
